Debra Scott is a retired Behavorial Specialist and dedicated community advocate with over 31 years of service at the Board of Education. As an Afro-Latina mother of five, Debra has devoted her life to supporting children, families and underserved communities. Throughout her distingusihed career, she developed and implemented community programs and resouces designed to address behavioral health, educational equity, and family support services. Her hands-on experience in the school system gave her deep insight into the challenges facing at-risk youth and their families, inspiring her to create solutions that bridged the gap between schools and community resources. Debra holds a Bachelors Degree in Behavariol Science for Merch College. Her academic background,combined with more than three decades of frontline experience, has made her a trusted voice in behavariol health nad community development. Ms.Scott has had te pleasure of receiving many school an community awards over the years. She is most proud of The Maxwell House Hero Award, presented by First lady Barbara Bush. I was one of onely 49 individuals selcted to respresent the United States, honored with a weekend at the White House with a guest. A flag was flown in her honor and presented to her, and she is permanently recorded in the Congessional books. Now retired, Debra continues to be a passionate advocate for community empowerment,mentorship, and resource accessibiltiy for marginalized populations.
